Files Sent Off, New Digital Assets, & Bonus Stuff

Hello there,Â
Zac here. Big news all around! We've handed off files for manufacturing!! Here's the process from here:
1. Manufacturer reviews the files for any potential issues. 2. We provided any revisions (likely minor), then they send us a round of basic proofs. 3. We approve the proofs (or make minor changes), then they go into full production. 4. They send us a final proof, just before binding the books. 5. Unless something truly tragic goes down, we approve the proofs. 6. They bind the books, wrap up production, and begin boxing/crating things for shipment to our two warehouses. 7. Product arrives in port, goes through the customs process, then hits the warehouse. 8. Everything gets organized, we charge for shipping, and things start going out!
You might ask, "How long will all that take?". The answer is we really don't know. It could fly by, with steps 1-4 taking a couple of weeks each, or if a lot of issues pop up (unlikely), it could stretch out. This is the part of the process where it's largely hands off for us, and it's up to the manufacturer to speed things along.Â
To that end, we recognize that we are behind in our delivery estimates, and there's really not a chance that we'll see product hit the warehouse before the last couple months of the year at best. So, we're going to hook you up in the meantime...
Enhanced/Extra Content
We don't intend to sit on our hands, but we realize that's what we're asking you to do, so for the next few months, with each monthly update, until we start shipping, we're going to be giving you extra FREE digital content.
This will be free to all backers, though there may be certain drops that only benefit certain books/expansions. We've got a thing or two in mind, but there's also a poll at the end of this that you can hit up if you want.
This all startstoday. I've uploaded a bunch of new stuff to Backerkit:
VTT Tokens for Fragmentation, the Stretch Goal Expansions, and an updated set for the core book
Maps & Assets including NPC and dino handouts, for the core book, Fragmentation, the 4 Stretch Goal Expansions, and the Quickstart
Fragmentation Expansion: Hermit of DinoIsland ready for download
PDF Updates for Fragmentation, the core book, bi-fold character sheets, and the Quickstart
We also have plenty to do going back into all the digital products and getting them 100% complete and "retail ready". This means doing stuff like:
Hyper-linked text on some of the books
Extra maps/assets where needed
Individual page and spread versions of each book
Finish out and kick out the island map
You'll get all those updates to the files as soon as I have them complete.Â
Gen Con 2026
This show is always insane, and it's no more so when I'm running the Limithron (Pirate Borg) booth, Eric is manning the Modiphius booth + running Raptor, Derrick's running Raptor, Frank's running both Pirate Borg and Raptor, and our publisher, Brian at Creature Curation, is fielding games of both Raptor and Vast Grimm with a selection of top-notch GMs.Â
Right around 200 people got to sink their teeth into the meaty haunch of Ruckus, which thrills us to no end.
(My view from the ship!)
All that to say, we're back home and will remain so for some time, so this is peek season for getting as much work done on this project (and the next expansions!) as possible.Â
Thanks for putting up with us.Â
Don't forget the poll!
TTFN,

PROJECTS WE LOVE
Oh! We also would love for you to check out a couple of projects. The first one, Dark Mythos for Shadowdark, I wrote a small adventure for and Frank wrote a bigger one. On the next one, it's Thomas, who's a friend of mine, putting together a killer looking Pirate Borg module.Â

Hello there.
Zac here.Â
Now, don't get too excited. These are just some "proofs" we got made from a local printer. The full print run isn't rolling yet...but this is the full book (on slightly thinner paper and without all the bells and whistles like the ribbons, spot gloss, etc.), and it looks GLORIOUS!
That's it. Just wanted to show you all.Â
If you're at Gen Con, swing by the Creature Curation booth #2245 or play in one of the games to see one of these proof copies firsthand.Â

July Update

Hello there!
Zac here. Lots going on!
We wrapped up Free RPG Day, which we worked on with Brian at Creature Curation. Turns out, several thousand of these bad boys were handed out at FLGS locations all across the country.Â
You can get resources for it here: https://creaturecuration.com/raptor-ruckus-downloadable-resources/. Additionally, Brian will be putting the digital files of this release on his site shortly, so even if you missed the physical copy, you can check it out digitally.
The Raptor scenario (Airborne) should be in your Backerkit downloads already.Â
Alternatively, if you want a physical copy, we'll have those to give away at the Creature Curation boothat GenCon. I think Brian also intends to have copies of the Quickstart and maybe some t-shirts as well. We're also running like....26 tables of games at the show, and there's still a very, very few seats left, mainly on Thursday and Friday: https://www.gencon.com/event-catalog?search=Raptor+Ruckus
What's still to do?
Fragmentation Campaign: last few pieces of art.
Final print reviews!
I swear to God, we're really at the final bits and bobs. It's always that last few percent that take the longest, but. we're. right. there!

Zac G. & Team Raptor
Projects We Love
Beneath Sacred Ground | Launching next week, this is a new scenario for my favorite RPG of 2025, and you'll be able to get the core book in the same project. It's 70s Italian Horror Cinema meets investigative mystery, it's gorgeous, and it's put together by one of our artists on Raptor, Nick Ribera! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chainassembly/beneathsacredground
More Scenarios Delivered, Timeline Update, & GenCon

Hello there,Â
Zac here. Sorry for the week's delay on this update. I've been over in England for the UK Games Expo, which was awesome!
Definitely one of the highlights was stumbling across Quarantinuum-- one of the new set piece scenarios funded via Stretch Goals -- out in the wild. Charlotte did a fantastic job on this, and part of their contract stipulates that they can print/sell their own copies, if they want.Â
As this is the first thing in print for Raptor "officially", I had to pick up several copies. Super super cool.Â
Stuff was done in my absence, though, and we're on the razor's edge of being finished digitally. New files have dropped over on Backerkit for:
Set Piece Scenario: Frillseeker
Set Piece Scenario: Playing God
Set Piece Scenario: Bloodwork
Fragmentation Expansion: Rescue Protocol Zeta
Vast Grimm add-ons
Walking on Eggshells(PDF)
VTT Tokens (Core Rules)
Here's some quick previews of some of the new art:
What's still to do?
Set Piece Scenario: Spoiled Meat - needs cleaned up.
Final 3rd-Party Pamphlet - needs reviewed.Â
Core Book - adding 2 pages (a brief scenario!), it's written, and we've got art. Just needs dropped in.
Fragmentation Campaign - Read more below:
Fragmentation Update
Okay, so we ran into an issue here, which ended up being a net bonus for you, but definitely delays things a bit. Basically, we got a lot of our encounter maps in (which we are including in the book itself), and many of them were landscape ratio.Â
This is an issue because it means that either they're only have a page (which is pretty tiny for some of them), or we have to turn them sideways...OR, we can get creative. We decided to spend the time and money to do that. Here's our solution:
Gatefold pages, for I think...5?...maps in the book. That's where a page folds out a second time, offering an extra-wide visual. I think it's going to be really cool. I remember reading books like the one above when I was a kid and just being blown away with this sort of thing. While we won't be offering cross sections of Star Destroyers or Trade Federation Battleships, I think you'll still dig the end result.Â
Once those things are complete, we'll be handing everything over to manufacturing, and we'll kick you all over some updated files.
Adjusted Timeline
There's just no way around it at this point: we're not going to hit August for starting delivery. I think there's a fair chance we come close, but there's just no way this is all going to get made, shipped from overseas, and sorted in the warehouse in 60 days.Â
Right now, I want to avoid giving a new timeline, just because it would be in pure ignorance, but we should feel a lot more confident on that next month, once the manufacturers let us know what they think. We'll do our best to have more concrete updated dates in July.Â
I know that's a bummer, and it's a rough deal for us as well, as we really, really wanted to have this all out for GenCon.Â
Brian will also have the Quickstart, proof copies of a few things, and hopefully some t-shirts and some remaining copies of the FreeRPG Day adventure over at the Creature Curation booth, if you want to stop by!
If you're at Origins in a couple of weeks, you can snag a copy of the FreeRPG Day zine from his booth there too, and if you pop by the Limithron booth and remind me, I just might have a free sticker to slap on ya.
TTFN,
Zac G. & Team Raptor
Projects We Love
A House That Ate Itself | This one's by Austin Martin, who wrote Saltwater Sacrament for Pirate Borg and has actually run Mythic Bastionland for me in person! I know he "gets" the system, and I'm excited to see what he brings to the table for it: Â https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/reliquarygames/a-house-that-ate-itself
Another Wave of PDFs!

Hello there,Â
Zac here. Let's start with some art previews:
all artwork subject to change
I mean, come on! Those are killer! Derrick and his art team are crushing it.Â
That's a small, small chunk of the number of pieces that we're packing into the books. All of that is taking some time, but it's definitely going to be worth it.Â
PDFs on Backerkit
Another big round of digital files dropped over on Backerkit. New files include:
Containment Breach (novel, PDF)
Containment Breach (novel, audiobook)
Set Piece Scenario: Rakshasa
Raptor Ruckus: Fragmentation (beta)
Fragmentation Expansion: Fossil Falls
Fragmentation Expansion: Quaruntinuum
Raptor Ruckus 1: Solo Rules (beta)
GM Screen (wide version)
Character Sheet (color & B&W, both fillable)
There's still a few files left to kick out, and certainly plenty of "final" versions, but we're getting really, really close on everything, which is exciting. Here's what we still need to do to finish anything labeled as "beta":
Final art pieces. Largely, this is on Fragmentation.
Text edits. Our third wave of editors has caught more things to fix.Â
Alternate versions. On the GM screen especially, making it available in more ways.
Here's what hasn't come out in any form yet:
Rest of Set Piece Scenarios - These are all written, edited, and are in layout.Â
Rest of Fragmentation Expansion Scenarios - In final review.Â
"A Day Off" PDF - Last on the list, since it's already in the Quickstart.Â
"Walking on Eggshells" eBook - John is writing this currently, but this won't deliver until later in the year.Â
Timelines
We expect to be handing over versions of the rest of these items in the next 30 days or so. Final versions will be delivered as they are finished, but once we've gotten you at least something on everything, we plan to refocus on getting stuff going with our manufacturers.Â
We think the August release window is still possible, but not guaranteed, as we've ended up putting a lot more time and money into the artwork than we expected to. While this slowed things down for a while, we're very, very confident you're going to be thrilled with the result.Â
To that end, shipping won't be charged for the next 90 days. No sense in rushing that.Â
I think that pretty much covers it. I love seeing all the folks posting about their sessions over on the Facebook Group -- that definitely keeps us motivated!
